Holiday with Ceylon Culture (14 DAYS)

Day 01

Arrival and transfer to a hotel in Negombo. Negombo is the nearest beach resort to the airport. This resort situated close to the Negombo Lagoon and main industries are fishing and tourism. (30 min drive from the air port).Full day leisure, River excursion (optional).Over night stay at Negombo.

Day 02

After break fast proceed to Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura is one of the earliest urban sites in Sri Lanka, dating from before the 8th century BC. It was the country’ first capital and a major religious centre for nearly 1500 years. In its present form it consists of a citadel surrounded by several large, Buddhist monastic complexes and four man-made lakes. Also the famous Samadhi (meditation) Buddhist statue, Twin pond, colossal Stupa Ruwanvali, Jethawana and Abayagiri are the most famous places. On the way visit a Tile factory and Negombo local fishing village.Over night stay at Anuradhapura.

After breakfast visit the Cultural Sites in Anuradhapura historical city.Over night stay at Anuradhapura.

After breakfast proceed to Giritale. At Afternoon Elephant riding (optional) near Habarana Village.Over night stay at Giritalle.

Day 05

After breakfast visit Pollonnaruwa Cultural site, Pollonnaruwa was the second historical capital of Sri Lanka. This capital was ruled by some Sri Lankan kings about 200 years 11th- 13th century AD. Masterpieces of world sculpture, historical ruin temples and Stupa and the ancient remains consist of a walled inner city and outer city, surrounded by temples and palaces gardens displays glory days of Sri Lankan history.
Afternoon jeep safari (optional) .Over night stay at Sigiriya.

Day 06

After break fast climb Sigiriya rock, the magnificent rock 200 meters high and breathtaking view from the summit. History goes back to 5th century AD the king Kashaypa build his palace complex on the rock. Beautiful frescos, mirror wall, lion Paw and decorated caves are worth to see. Rest of the day for your own exploration.Over night stay at Sigiriya.

Day 07

After break fast visit famous Dabulla Rock Cave Temple. Dabulla Rock cave Temple (This Buddhist temple’s history goes back to 1st century BC and situated top of a rock. It has five large caves with more than 150 Buddhist statues and colorful paintings) .Late evening visit Tooth Relic Temple and Traditional cultural show.Kandy is the cultural city of Sri Lanka. It is a unique city, surrounded by beautiful mountain and mild temperature. Overnight stay at Kandy.

After breakfast visit Botanical garden, Gemological museum and rest of the day relax and own explore city of Kandy. Over night stay at Kandy.

Day 09

After break fast proceed to Nuwaraeliya. Nuwaraeliya is the Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort. Nuwaraeliya is the coldest city in Sri Lanka, also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country producing world famous “Ceylon tea”. We will visit a Tea plantation and Tea factory. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (2525 m) is located here. On the way you will be able to see beautiful mountain and waterfalls.Over night stay at Nuwaraeliya.

Day 10

After breakfast proceed to Kitulgala. On the way to Kitulgala, visit a water fall. Lunch near by Kelaniya River. One time the film “Bridge on River Quwai” Was film here. White water rafting track is famous among visitors. Also possible to have fresh water bath and swimming in this Kelaniya river. Kitulgala surrounded by beautiful mountain and lush green vegetation. Many birds are common. White water rafting (optional).Over night stay at Kitulgala.

Day 11, 12 & 13 Beach Stay

After breakfast proceed to Beach stay. Ideal place get rest your final days of the tour. Many restaurants, hotels and shopping possible in this resort and many activities will offer, E.g.:- water sports, Jet scooter, turtle hatchery, boat river excursions, fishing, snorkeling, diving, fishing, herbal Massage etc.
