Day 01

Arrive at the air port and transfer to a Hotel in Negombo. Negombo is the nearest beach resort to the International air port in Sri Lanka. 30 min drive. Communities here are most of them catholic and their main industry is fishing. Afternoon Boat river excursion (Optional).Over night stay at Negombo.

Day 02

After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya via Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawela is the famous Elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka. Its history goes back to 1975. Now there are more than 75 elephants live here. Some of them are injured, blind and handicap. It is interesting to see the feeding time for baby elephants and the river bathing. At Afternoon visit Dabulla Rock Cave Temple. Dabulla rock cave temple history goes back to 1st century BC. Now it is a world heritage site and the complex of the five caves cover 2000 sq meters. There are more than 150 Buddhist images in site the caves. Caves situated top of the rock and it is about 200 meters above the main entrance. In front of the temple newly build giant Buddhist Statue and a small museum.Over night stay at Sigiriya.

Day 03

After breakfast climb Sigiriya. Sigiriya is a World heritage site. This was build by King Kashaypa (473-495) AD and this magnificent cultural site famous among most visitors. This rock is 377 meters above sea level and it’s also call “Lion rock”. Ruins of the royal palace complex remain on the summit of the rock including the rock carved swimming pool too. Famous water gardens, colors full fresco, rock carvings, lion paw, and caves are worth to visit during this climb. At afternoon Elephant back riding. (Optional).Over night Stay Sigiriya

Day 04

After break fast visit Polonnaruwa. Pollonnaruwa is the 2nd capital of Sri Lankan history and its history goes back to 10th -13th century AD. Historical temples, rock caved Statues and large Stupa are famous sites. This area surrounded by beautiful man made lakes.Over night stay at Sigiriya.

Day 05 & 06

After Breakfast proceed to Kandy. Kandy is the cultural city of Sri Lanka. This city situated 500 meters above sea level and it has mild climate all year round. On the way to Kandy visit a Spice garden, Wood carving factory. Late after noon visit the Tooth Relic temple and Kandy cultural show. Next day visit botanical garden, shopping and explore Kandy city by your self.Over night stay at Kandy.

Day 07

After breakfast proceed to Nuwaraeliya. Nuwaraeliya is the coldest city of Sri Lanka. It is situated more than 200 meters above sea levels. Breathtaking sceneries and mountain surrounded by this city has beautiful hotels and flower gardens. On the way visit a Botanical Garden, Tea Factory and over night stay Nuwaraeliya.

Day 08

After breakfast proceed to Bandarawela by Train. Train journey will give you a memorable journey to see the mountain of Sri Lanka. Clear weather you will be able to see the Adams Peak Mountain from the train. Afternoon visit the Adisham monastery (this is a Benedictine monastery and old British planter’s house. Some believes it is replica of the planters Yorkshire or Canterbury house and it is on a hill. Beautiful breathtaking view from the monastery and surrounding area will make your trip unforgettable.Over night stay at Bandarawela.

Day 09

After breakfast proceed to Sinharaja rain forest. This forest is another world heritage site and comprises some 8800 hectares of natural and modified forest. There are 22 villages surrounded by this forest and locals enter it to collect medicine, fire woods, tap kithul (fish tail) palms for sap to make jaggery and brown honey. Fauna and flora rich this forest famous among bird lovers and naturalist. Near by Rain forest you will be able to enjoy fresh water bath. Visit Rain forest and over night stay close to the Rain forest.

Day 10

After breakfast proceed to Ebilipitiya. Afternoon visits the national park (Udawalawe) and the elephant orphanage. Close to the Udawalawe national park has a beautiful lake and it is famous for eagles and other birds.Over night stay Ebilipitiya.

Day 11, 12 & 13 Beach stay

After breakfast proceed to Beach stay Unawatuna. Unawatuna is a tourist resort area close to the famous southern coastal city “Galle”. During the tsunami disaster 2004, this city was damaged and now it has recovered. Some of the tsunami damaged buildings are still remain by the side of main road. There are many hotels, Restaurants and interesting sites surrounded and Water sports, River excursions and diving, fishing are famous. Boat river excursion (Optional)
