Fishing Holidays -Sea and Inland (14 Days)

Day 01

Arrive and checking in a hotel in Negombo. Negombo is the nearest beach resort to the International air port in Sri Lanka. 30 min drive. Community here are most of them catholic and their main industry is fishing.Over night stay at Negombo.

Day 02

Visit local fish market and fishing near by lake. Local fish market operate whole week except Sunday. Local fisherman used small catamaran boat and motor boat for fishing. Market is very busy during the morning time and able to buy all sorts of fish. They make dry fish and it is famous among locals. Over night stay Negombo.

Day 03

Proceed to Giritale. On the way visit a cultural site in Dambulla. This way you will able to see country side of Sri Lanka. Coconut palm trees, Rice fields and fruit gardens, feeding birds etc. Dabulla rock cave temple is one of the world heritage sites. Its history goes back to 1st Century BC and there are more than 150 Buddhist statues in site the cave complex of this temple.Over night stay at Giritale.

Day 04

Early morning fishing trip to a near lake and fishing with a local fisherman. Late after noon visit another lake near by and fishing or visit historical cultural site of Pollonnaruwa. Pollonnaruwa is the 2nd capital of Sri Lankan history and it is history goes back to 10th -13th century AD. Historical temples, rock caved Statues and large Stupa are famous sites. This area surrounded by beautiful man made lakes. Also there are few National parks famous for Wild elephants.Over night stay at Giritale.

Day 05-06

After breakfast proceed to Kandy. Over night stay at Kandy. Visit the Botanical garden, Tooth relic temple and Gemmological museum. Kandy is the cultural city of Sri Lanka. This city situated 500 meters above sea level and it has mild climate all year round. Tooth relic temple is the main highlight here and it is famous for locals too. Late evening visit Kandy cultural show. Over night stay at Kandy

Day 07

Proceed to Kitulgala and white-water rafting. Kitulgala is the only place to do white water rafting in Sri Lanka. The river name “Kelaniya” was used to build famous Oscar wining film Bridge on river Quwai. The filming was done close to the Rafting track. Area is surrounded by beautiful lush Green Mountain. Overnight stays at Kitulgala.

Day 08

Proceed to Ebilipitiya. Udawalawe National Park will visit at afternoon. This park is famous for wild elephant. Also visit an elephant orphanage close to the national park. Some of the elephant come very close to edge of the park. Overnight stays at Ebilipitiya.

rong>Day 09After the morning fishing ride and proceed to Thissamaharamaya. This area surrounded lakes and wild parks. Also there are several Historical temples close by. Fishing lakes are close to the hotel. Over night stay at Tissa.

Day 10- 11- 12

Proceed to beach stay at Galle. Galle is one the famous coastal city of Sri Lanka. There are many historical land marks (Dutch fort, International Cricket ground, Old harbour, Rumassala mountain, Museums, and Temples) some of the beaches are very famous among tourist. Sea food and local restaurants are close to the beach and Many activity could do here such as water sports, Diving, snorkelling etc. One day included deep sea fishing with a local fisherman.

Day 13

Over night stay at Negombo. On the way to Negombo we just past commercial capital of Sri Lanka Colombo and will be able to see some famous Colombo land marks.
