Buddhist Pilgrims (10 Days)
Day 01
Arrival and transfer to a hotel in Negombo.Over night stay at Negombo.
Day 02 & 03
After early breakfast leave for Anuradhapura and lunch at Dambulla.
Two nights stay in Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura is the first capital of Sri Lanka in 380 BC. Visits the Sacred Bo tree in Anuradhapura which is over 2200 years old, the remains of the Brazen palace (2nd century BC) the Kuttam pokuna (Twin Ponds) the Ruwanvali Stupa, the Thuparama Dagaba (enshrines the Buddha’s collarbone relic) the Samadhi Buddha Statue, The Abayagiri and Jethawana Dagaba and Moon stones and many other sites.Over night stay at Anuradhapura.

Day 04 & 05
After breakfast leave for Sigiriya.Two nights stay in Sigiriya, Sigiriya is known as Lion rock and it is about 200 meters high. This rock was use by the king Kashaypa 5th century AD (473-492AD) to build his palace complex. Middle of the rock there are magnificent colourful frescoes painting belongs to 5th century AD. Ruin of the king’s palace is on the rock summit and it is magnificent place to be. On the summit there is a rock carve swimming pool too.
Also we will visits historical 2nd capital of Sri Lanka Polonnaruwa in the 11th -13th centuries AD. The royal place, Gal Vihare (three splendid statues of the Buddha carved out of a rock, Lotus bath and the Museum Quadrangle (included several historical buildings and temples).Over night stay at Sigiriya.
Day 06 – 07
After breakfast leave for Kandy.
Two nights in Kandy, on the way to Kandy visits the Dabulla rock cave temple, which was built by king Walagambahu in the 1st Century BC. Dambulla is a world heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanks’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000sq meters of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of painting found in the Sri Lanka.
Also visit Tooth relic temple in the Kandy. The Buddhism’s most sacred relic the Dalada (the tooth of Buddha) and housing it in the Dalada Maligawa (palace of the tooth). Where the ancient rituals and ceremonies are still perform daily.Also visit the Botanical garden and Shopping.Over Night Stay at Kandy.
Day 08
After breakfast leave for Nuwaraeliya.Nuwaraeliya is the Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort. Nuwaraeliya is the coldest city in Sri Lanka, also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country producing world famous “Ceylon tea”. We will visit a Tea plantation and Tea factory. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (2525 m) is located here. On the way we could visit few water falls as well.Over night stay at Nuwaraeliya.
Day 09
Leave for Colombo.Colombo also has very good shopping area plus some beautiful and historical lands mark. We will do a City Tour in the late evening.Over night stay at Colombo
Day 10
Departure
